One of the first questions I ask clients, colleagues, and team members at the start of any project is "What will success look like?" Even the best metrics won’t gauge a program’s effectiveness if you don’t stop to define its hoped-for outcome. Without it, success is an arbitrary target that’s nearly impossible to reach.I enjoy and excel at articulating difficult concepts—from employee health benefits, digital marketing solutions, and new technology or software platforms. Communicating a value proposition through brand marketing, positioning, and messaging for an external audience is often only part of a campaign. Internal customers have different interests, needs, and expectations so the message and the channel through which it’s conveyed are critical. Executive leaders, colleagues, and team members recognize and commend my expertise and integrity, but I draw my greatest satisfaction from being collaborative, customer-centric, inclusive, and nurturing as a coach and mentor. I value the lessons in perspective, ideation, and patience I learn from everyone with whom I work, at every level of an organization.My father taught me to never back away from something new.
