I have been investing in property since I was 18. I am a journalist by trade and have worked as a financial reporter and news reader. However, from an early age I have had a passion for property. After being made redundant at an early age in my career I chose to build a financial nest egg through property investment and that has given me the life I enjoy today. I have been working within the property industry for over 15 years and my main focus has been building up my own portfolio. In 2015 I won HMO Landlord of the Year and was recognised at a national level for my abilities as a landlord. I then moved into a converted Windmill with my husband and three young children. I am still as passionate as ever about property. As well as my portfolio I own a lettings agency and other companies that look at buying land, adding value and selling the assets. I have recently built out 20 net zero flats in London and won special commendation at the National Energy Awards. I am now expanding in the property education and training sector after my success writing and presenting online training courses.
