Watson Natural Language Understanding is a cloud native product that uses deep learning to extract metadata from text such as entities, keywords, categories, sentiment, emotion, relations, and syntax. My role included:• Building out new api endpoints for new NLU features• Migration of existing functionality to new architecture• Day-to-day technologies used include Node, Javascript, Typescript, Mocha, Kubernetes • Other technologies used include Python, Elixir, gRPC• Notable projects: design and implementation of a new Node.js microservice, api for training and deploying custom sentiment analysis

Bugsnag provides error monitoring to help teams fix bugs faster and improve software quality. As the first member of the support team, I equipped engineering teams with the technical tools they need to optimize their Bugsnag usage.On a given day, this may include:- writing custom code snippets for customers' individual use cases- troubleshooting error handling code configuration, dashboard setup, and all other possible technical issues Bugsnag users face- building admin features to streamline support processes - maintaining documentation

In this evolving role, I was tasked with improving Bloc's student outcomes. This took various forms, from building community, enhancing the student and alumni experience, and helping students reach better, faster career outcomes. I spearheaded numerous projects and contributed to many others. I managed General Assembly's 10-week part-time Front-End Web Development and Back-End Web Development programs from ideation to production to execution. Program Management—From coordinating experiential programs to overseeing the classroom operations to managing the budget for 6 concurrent classes at any given time, I was in charge of all aspects of all part-time web development programs.Project Management—I orchestrated multiple concurrent timelines for classes starting with instructor sourcing and including instructor onboarding, lesson planning, info sessions, course extracurriculars, and final project presentations.Team Management—I directed a quickly growing team of dedicated and talented web development instructors. This included facilitating dynamics among instructors in addition to recruiting, hiring, and coaching instructors. I also oversaw the experiences of students and worked with the Admissions and Marketing teams to generate leads for the course.Event Execution—I planned and led a variety of events from info sessions to relevant workshops to graduation celebrations and guest speakers.
