During my role as the Director of External Affairs and Government Relations from 2013 to 2016, I assumed a leadership position where I was responsible for shaping the policy landscape and driving external engagement strategies for the Alabama Chapter. Here are some key aspects of my contributions during this period:🏛️ I played a pivotal role in creating and executing comprehensive policy and external engagement plan tailored to the unique needs and challenges of the Alabama Chapter.🤝 I proactively fostered diverse coalitions, bringing together elected officials, local communities, corporate leaders, industry stakeholders, and private foundations. These coalitions were instrumental in advocating for increased public investment in natural capital, furthering our conservation goals.🌲 Working in close collaboration with staff, board members, and consultants, I ensured the effective implementation of Chapter priorities, which included critical areas such as working forests, land use, urban conservation, freshwater initiatives, and statewide conservation funding.🌏 In a groundbreaking initiative, I worked with an international team to establishment a of first-of-its-kind conservation endowment fund in Indonesia. My contribution included the creation of a business plan which assessed legal, business, and financial instruments to ensure the sound management and investment of the fund, thus supporting our broader mission of environmental conservation on a national scale.

During my tenure at the US Climate Action Network from 2009 to 2013, I had the privilege of serving as the Southeast Climate & Energy Network Director.
