1. Global Payroll; Provides technical and functional support for the processing of Atlas payroll services for International/National Volunteers consistent with UNV Conditions of Service.i. Administer payroll services – Ensure timely and accurate determination and processing of entitlements for UN Volunteers. Ensure accurate payroll data entries, verification and validation to reduce recoveries, advances and other exceptional payments.ii. Operational support on payroll related – Ensure that UN Volunteer destination banks are correctly set up to achieve fluidity of payment. 1.Local Payroll, Clustering; Responsible of monthly payroll for Local Staff, SC&Volunteers for RBAP as GPA.- Maintain employee bank account and payment selection in the system, and setup Payroll Vendor for banking information request.- Validate and process all transactions in the system related to recurring,OTE,OT,leave balance,allowances,insurance and adjustment&recoveries.- Run validation tool to validate the final payroll results and enter comments on all variance larger than 0.5%.- Sign off final payroll as per SLAs.- Prepare bank instructions.- Disburse salary and upload e-Pay slip to the COs.- Extract and prepare monthly expenditure reports to the COs and sister agencies.- Attend rejection/return of salary payment and match up with the Bank Recon Team.- Initiate payment of rejected/returned salary with the Account Payable.- Ensure rejection double entries are taken up in the book via Account Receivable.- Serve as SME to COs/employees.2. Final Pay; Audit cases for International&Local Employee based in the US who are under separation process from the organization.- Review Employee Historical Personnel Action in accordance with separation package.- Responsible as a final checker in validating total final reimbursement related to benefit and entitlements.- Liaise with UN Tax Team for confirmation on tax garnishment amount to be deducted.- Prepare final list for monthly payroll posting and transmitted to the Pension for further action.ii. Pension Services; Administer pension contributions for staff member registered under UNJSPF globally.- Process pension withdrawal for separation cases and submit to UNJSPF on weekly basis.- Review, investigate and resolves pension contribution discrepancies reported.- Reconcile payroll results with general ledger posting and documents exceptions.
