I am a Policy Analyst at the John Locke Foundation focusing on agriculture and food insecurity. My prior expertise in policy include 4 years researching poverty and welfare policy at the Cato Institute in Washington, DC. With a honors degree in economics and minor in statistics, I am well versed in Rstudio & Stata and my original economic research has been presented numerous times, including at the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas. I have written and ghost-written both long and short form policy and economics pieces that have been published at the state and federal level. An active pro-housing advocate, during my time at the Cato Institute I worked to eliminate single family zoning in California. In North Carolina, I have continued my pro-housing work by promoting bills that will lower the costs to build housing, such as deregulating the selling of local lumber. In addition, I have shared my research on childcare education regulations, school choice, occupational licensing and more with interest groups, bureaucrats, and legislators at all levels of government.
