As a Senior Consultant I managed many large-scale projects with multiple moving parts and substantial budgets. Working primarily with clients in the energy sector, I have an extensive knowledge of the oil and gas industry.I enjoy the challenge of dealing with high-stakes issues such as energy facility construction, pipeline development, hydraulic fracturing operations and oil sands projects. I'm also drawn to crisis communications, having developed crisis communications plans and training programs as well as providing on-site support for crisis response. In addition, I created corporate communications strategies and reputation-building programs. As a Communications and External Affairs Advisor, I supported BP’s internal and external communications requirements including strategic communication planning, media relations, crisis communications, brand initiatives and event management. I supported and advised the office of the president and the Human Resources department. I also lead corporate communications initiatives and employee events.Key responsibilities were to:- Lead and oversee internal communications including employee communications through the divestment of the gas and liquids businesses in Canada- Manage and develop content for intranet site- Create materials for promoting our flagship community investment initiative, A+ for Energy - Develop communication materials and strategic counsel for company president and other senior executives- Manage the use of BP’s brand for internal and external applications- Organize webcasted town halls for over 500 employees, broadcasting to several sites

The City of Calgary - Transportation Infrastructure business unit is responsible for LRT extensions and major road construction projects. As the communications assistant, I supported the communications strategist with public consultation planning and implementation. I also worked closely with project managers to develop key messages for sharing with community members.
