Ever since I was a child, I had a passion for helping others and learning. In 2015, I helped grant a wish for a young girl who was fighting neuroblastoma. After seeing her nurses care for her and how they made a difference in her life, I decided to change career paths and go to school for nursing. After working diligently in my prerequisites, I was accepted into Butte College's RN class in January 2021. After two years of hard work and straight As, I graduated in December 2022. I was immediately hired as a registered nurse in a local ICU, where I have fallen in love with the high acuity aspects of the ICU, as well as the critical thinking skills that are required. I'm currently studying for my CCRN and will be applying to BSN programs in the near future.
