Healthcare professional with 20+ years of experience in the healthcare industry as a Physical Therapist Assistant. During this time I have grown passionate about helping others be successful in life. I obtained my Bachelor's Degree in Business Management in 2008 and am currently working toward my Master's Degree - MBA in Healthcare. During my past experience, I have performed a variety of tasks, one, in particular, was opening a physical therapy satellite clinic which was connected to a local hospital. Served as a project manager developing an outpatient Physical Therapy Clinic in 1998 providing exceptional client services as the point person for managing all client communication for start-up, as well as insurance authorization, physician communication and logistics. Also served as department Quality Assurance auditor from 1996-1998 performing detailed chart reviews ensuring quality of quality centered patient care.At this stage of my career, I am interested in transitioning into leadership or a managerial position with the vast amount of knowledge I have obtained. I am interested in the business end of healthcare or transitioning out of health care and would be an asset due to my hands on experience in the global aspect of healthcare. Understanding the business side in addition to the clinical aspect gives a different perspective to the entire industry. My clinical experience allows me to share knowledge and experience from both sides of the spectrum. After all, we are always interacting with the human side of any career. Some have more experience with the business component, some have more experience with the human component, however to have the experience of both is a valuable asset.In conclusion, I have 26 years of experience in health care, with the past four years working in a remote position from home. I currently work as a Clinical Intake Specialist, with compliance responsibilities including assessing the quality of clinical documentation, ensuring documentation complies with state codes and protocols. Perform electronic data entry daily, ensuring timely initiation of care of sensitive work flows according to various SOP’s. Ensure ICD 10 home health care codes match for repayment, as well as correct physicians orders and clinician orders to provide patient care within legal parameters, validating orders, codes and insurance providers, daily auditing referrals as they are processed.I transitioned out of health care in May 2023 into a new role as Deputy Clerk of Juvenile Courts in Xenia, Ohio.
