What do I do?I save audiences from boring speakers.I bring struggling organizations/departments back from the brink.I craft business stories that make people say, "Tell me MORE!"..."Where do I sign?"..."How can I invest/donate/get involved?"I work with organizations that want their people to rally around change and adversity, so they can blow the doors off every goal they set. seetheworldasitcouldbe@gmail.comMost people would say I have lived an unconventional life. True, but the hurdles I have cleared equipped me with an uncommon set of leadership skills and some very valuable lessons as a marketing communicator and certified coach.Since I arrived on the planet, I've been hit by a car, struck by lightning and hanged from a tree. In college, I barely missed a mass murder. Later, in an unrelated incident, I had a major organ removed. Contrary to medical precedent, it grew back! ... With 48 hours to live, at age 29, doctors told me to say good-bye to my 3-year-old daughter ... forever. I went into the "Bright Light," came back out and lived to tell ... still STANDING ... still smiling.Professionally, I have served as speechwriter and coach to some of America's top executives in a broad range of industries - healthcare, financial services, agriculture, oil & gas refining & marketing, luxury hospitality, consumer foods, real estate and retail. I have led DEI efforts. Through my unique lens I have seen organizations sink or soar based on their attitudes toward change, adversity and uncertainty.Based on all my brushes with death, I developed an uncommonly positive approach to change and adversity that employers appreciate. When past clients heard everything I had to say on the professional side, they invited me to tell my personal story. It turned out, I inspired corporate citizens to find in themselves the resilience and ability to adapt that I had learned THE HARD WAY. Now, I help key stakeholders see EVERYTHING in a new light. I show individuals and organizations how to spot and eliminate self-limiting behaviors ... how to leave the corporate and personal legacies they hope to leave ... how to make good impressions everywhere they go ... how to include EVERYone. In 2012, the Chicago Tribune devoted a full-page, glowing review to my memoir, I'M STILL STANDING: How One Woman's Brushes with Death Taught Her How To Live.
