During this time, Mastercard and the payments industry were undergoing rapid changes in the use of technology and data. I played a key role in several company and industry “firsts.”As Manager, Rules, Standards, and Strategy, I drafted rules language to align with the emergence of Mastercard’s debit products.As Director, Strategy & Franchise Development, I elevated my team’s influence and visibility as a strategic business partner by creating the first global rules for debit products.As VP, Franchise Development, I guided this business’s role from support to a mission-critical partner in the evolution of chip technology. My team went on to design the U.S. roadmap for the migration and oversaw initiatives enabled by the new technology, mainly ecommerce, mobile commerce, cross border processing, digital wallets, tokenization, and new security regulations.
