Promoted from Lead UI Developer of the Mobile Applications team, my role expanded to take on additional responsibilities:* Augmenting the Holland America Line Navigator application to support multiple brand experiences, each with unique features and business rules, from a single code base.* Working directly with external Infrastructure teams to develop process documentation, strategies for deploying our application to ships, and ship network diagrams for both guest and corporate networks.* Negotiating data contracts with microservices developers to support new application features.* Contributing code for new features (and iteratively improving existing features) of the HAL Navigator application.* Prototyping small, proof-of-concept applications using AngularJS, NodeJS, and other JavaScript technologies to inform and guide the roadmap of the Mobile Applications team.* Collaborating with teams from other Carnival Corporation brands on how to align strategies and roadmaps.* Personally deploying the HAL Navigator application in production environments (ships).* Continuing to mentor UI developers on the Mobile Applications team.

Together with a small team (< 10 people) wireframed, designed, and built a transactional web application using AngularJS to be served from a local webserver on board Holland America Line cruise ships, which enables purchases and viewing event schedules on guest devices (phone, tablet, desktop/laptop).

Working on some really exciting projects utilizing, among other things, SVG graphics, HTML5 Canvas image and text drawing, WinJS for Windows 8 applications (in the store at launch, no less!), WordPress customization with Custom Post Types and the Advanced Custom Fields plug-in, and MVVM ViewModel binding with KnockoutJS and JSON services.
