About Kelsey Gans
Hello and welcome! I am a graduate student at UC San Diego's School of Global Policy and Strategy. There, I am learning how to use statistical analysis and data-driven research to write and identify sound public policy. I strongly believe, and the data supports, that the best use of government policy is to create strong and resilient communities. In the past I have advocated for investment into infant and toddler care, as building strong foundations in childhood creates opportunity to flourish in adulthood. Other research interests of mine include: pink-collar labor equity, children's (human) rights at the local and domestic level, permanent housing solutions to end homelessness. I am San Diego based but am eager to connect with researchers and advocacy groups across the country with like-minded interests.
