Manage a group of therapists, assist with the internship department and continue seeing a caseload of clients.

Providing room visits to patients and their visitors in the hospital through the chaplain department. Work here includes participating in care rounds on each unit and collaborating with primary care providers and other members of the interdisciplinary team (PT, OT, Speech Therapy, Nutrition, Social Work, Nursing/CNAs, Care Management, etc.)

Providing face-to-face and tele-health individual counseling sessions through CareNet private practice and through Wilkes Internal Medicine medical clinic under supervision. Work at these sites includes accepting referrals, intake and diagnosis, collaborating with primary care providers and nursing staff, assessment and data collection.

Worked with youth and adolescents in residential care. Work here included supervised individual sessions with adolescents, family sessions, and therapy group sessions as well as other routine procedures like treatment team meetings, attending court hearings, and responding to crisis events.

Worked with pre-internship music therapy practicum students at local sites and facilities by being present in weekly sessions and providing group supervision for students.

Observed, participated in and led individual, family and group therapy session working towards individualized treatment goals at a residential treatment center serving adolescents and youth with trauma-related disorders in DCFS custody or foster care; completed required trainings and worked as a member of an interdisciplinary team; conducted assessments and responded to crisis events

This was a summer only position, from May to August each summer. I led a wide range of activities in small groups and piloted a music activity at the summer camp of 300 typically developing children, ages 5-16.

I led two-hour drumming sessions daily at the local homeless shelters, taught drumming techniques and songs, served as a supervisor for participants, and was immersed in group cultural experiences.
