Working at the Royal Hobart Hospital has allowed me to develop many desirable skills. I have learnt the importance and the impact effective communications can have on a large working environment as well as coming up with creative solutions to solving issues surrounding communication. Task management and prioritization is also a large part of my current role as I work with the hospital's bed and clinical managers to improve the flow of patients in and out of the Royal Hobart Hospital. the self-directed nature of this role has improved my ability to work autonomously, ultimately making my working flow more effective and organised.

Whilst I was studying I worked with the Tassal Group in their Salamanca based Salmon shop. there I engaged with customers daily to promote Tassal's products and make sales for the company. I had the opportunity to develop my customer service and relations skills, I gradually started conducting regular cooking demonstrations held at the shop for customers and used it as an opportunity to boost the shop's sales by providing information to the customers about Tassal's products creatively and interactively. This highlights one of my strongest skills, creativity, as I can think outside the box to increase sales revenue and increase customer engagement.

This was one of my first jobs. I started as a customer service representative but quickly worked my way to become a shift supervisor. I managed a small team and store after hours and was in charge of reaching predetermined KPI's for the franchise branch I worked for. I regularly achieved and exceeded these KPI's when I was managing shifts by approximately 10% on average. I learnt many important skills such as people and store management, KPI management, sales technics, customer service and effective leadership. all of these skills would be valuable to a prospective employer.

I entered the Royal Australian Defence force when I have presented the opportunity after I completed my year 12 education. This experience not only changes my outlook on life but also gave me the opportunity to develop some critical skills to succeed in life. I learnt the important critical decisions making skills and how to best maintain composure and control of stressful situations, this role highlighted the importance of trust in your team members and the importance of carrying out orders and tasks designated to me in a timely manner and ensuring attention to detail when requested. These skills have changed the way I work in a regular working environment and can integrate into any team and work effectively.
