About Kelsey Hauser, Phd

I earned my PhD in Molecular Biology from The George Washington University. My dissertation research sought to understand the evolutionary underpinnings of innate immunology. Through a comparative perspective, I explored the contribution of innate immunity to both classical pathogen defense and to physiological processes. My scientific background reaches beyond immunology: I have a B.A. in Neuroscience and Psychology from Kenyon College. I’m particularly passionate about science communication. I believe making science accessible and engaging empowers individuals to make informed decisions and form their own opinions regardless of their prior experience with a given topic.
