I have worked in customer service since 2013. Starting at stop and shop as a cashier and worked my way to department head less than six months. After seven years at stop and shop, I made a change and starting a more rewarding position at GEICO Insurance Company. I started as a claims adjuster in November of 2020, handling high-volume calls, resolving simple claims and basic coverage issues. In August of 2021, I started my position of a Liability Adjuster, reviewing more complex accident descriptions, such as conflicting statements or where shared negligence applied. With the information provided, completed a fair and reasonable liability decision by reviewing all evidence such as points of impact, recorded statements and police reports. Referring to the New York State Vehicle Traffic Laws and assessing the liability, or responsibility for the loss. Reviewing more complex coverage issues such as non-payment, lapse of coverage on policies.In April 2022, I am proud to announce my new position as a Bodily Injury Claims adjuster, which includes handling claims presented against our policyholders for injuries claimed from all other parties. Reviewing BI medical packets from attorneys and negotiating fair and reasonable injury settlements.On top of this experience, I am currently enrolled in multiple CPCU courses, I am currently on track to obtain my Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) certification in June of 2022.I am highly skilled in all Microsoft applications (Excel, Microsoft, Powerpoint) and have worked with programs such as KRONOS in my previous position at Stop & Shop.My goals for the future are to pursue a position in Human Resources, I am actively pursuing a degree in Business Management.
