CurrentAs the Community Engagement Lead, my role is pivotal in connecting NDIS participants with living options that best suit their needs. My responsibilities include: Participant Engagement: I am the primary point of contact for NDIS participants seeking Supported Independent Living (SIL), Short Term Accommodation (STA) and Medium Term Accommodation (MTA). I work closely with participants to understand their unique needs and preferences, helping them find a new home.Community Outreach: I actively engage with the wider community to promote United For Care's services. I build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including disability advocates, healthcare professionals, and local community groups. Advocacy: As a passionate advocate for disability inclusion and accessibility, I work tirelessly to ensure that the voices of NDIS participants are heard. I am committed to creating a world where everyone, regardless of disability, has the opportunity to live independently and lead a fulfilling life. Service Promotion: I play a key role in promoting UFC’s state-of-the-art vertical villages, Vertika. I showcase these modern, accessible, and comfortable living spaces to potential residents and their families, highlighting the benefits of living in a community that promotes independence and quality of life. Team Collaboration: I work closely with the rest of the United For Care team to ensure that all aspects of the organisation's services align with its mission of promoting independence and quality of life for individuals with disabilities. With over a decade of personal experience in the disability sector, I bring a wealth of knowledge and passion to my role, making me a valuable asset to United For Care and the NDIS participants I serve.
