Provided once a week group therapy sessions at P.S.321. Students identified by their teachers or parents were referred to a weekly art therapy session. Each period represented a different grade level with 6 selected participants. Due to the stress of the Covid 19 and the irregularity of the school year, many students struggled with anxiety when returning to the class room full time in fall 2021. NYU Art Therapy in Schools program was able to gain grant money to extend their services. I was very proud to hired in this role. As the solo art therapy clinician I facilitated groups, art supply organization, communicate with parents and faculty and supervise an intern. Provide a safe space during an a busy school day for children to share their feels and emotions through art, verbal communication, games and play.

Provided individual psychotherapy and art therapy for 22 clients ranging in age from 8 years to 60 plus years of age. When covid first hit we all went remote and learned how to manage a schedule, documentation and "zoom" therapy for the first time. It was an honor to work with such incredible clients and fellow therapists while at Brooklyn Center for Psychotherapy for six years. BCP created a space (in person or digitally) that invited clients seeking mental health treatment from all walks of life. I had the opportunity to work with professional such as lawyers, doctors, teachers struggling with anxiety and depression. As well as first generation immigrants struggling with grief, racial inequality and financial hardship. BCP sought trainings and continuing education for all staff to become even stronger allies of the LQBTQ community. Continuing education on social injustice was very much a focus. When Summer 2020 brought BLM to the center of a national discussion they helped in creating and collecting more recourses for therapist to share with our clients. While at BCP my skills as an individual therapist continued to grow.

Creative Art Therapist adolescent inpatient psychiatry unit 15 bed inpatient unit age range from 12-17 years of age. Provide group and individual psychotherapy, assessments, documentation, and weekly presentation to treatment team. Groups consist of art therapy, substance abuse/use, CBT based coping skills group STAIR (skills training affective interpersonal regulation). Other duties include but not limited to environmental care, supply ordering, environmental safety and beautification.

The New York Center for Living is a private, non-profit, outpatient treatment center committed to serving adolescents, young adults and families challenged by substance abuse and co-occurring disorders. Guided by a 12-step, abstinence-based philosophy, we integrate conventional and complementary therapeutic services with our experienced collegial, multidisciplinary clinical team to offer comprehensive, individualized care.I was invited to run a art therapy 1x weekly at this program. Although it was short lived, at a time of transition for this institution, I learned so much in my short time. This experience continued to inform my substance focused group on 21N, adolescent inpt psychiatry.
