I was a private duty nurse for 6 years in the role of a pediatric LPN/RN, providing care to disabled children in their homes. Care was anywhere from extremely acute to very mild. I transitioned into the hospice case manager/admissions nurse role, and have a passion for it still. I continue to do sporadic care on an as needed basis. I have a love for pediatric and hospice care, and ultimately would like to get into children's hospice someday as well. I did phlebotomy for 2 years taking blood donations to save lives within this specialty. I recently closed the chapter of clinical research nurse coordinator after nearly 7 years; this entailed case management with patients and new medications to get FDA approval to put on the market. The cutting edge of medicine!!I recently started the new chapter of my life doing private duty nursing for the elderly and loving my god given job as a stay at home mom.
