The OhioHealth Foundation raises and invests funds to support the work of our Ohio family of faith-based, not-for-profit hospitals and healthcare centers. As Philanthropy Coordinator, I support the philanthropic goals of Berger Hospital, Dublin Methodist Hospital, Grady Memorial, Grant Medical Center, O'Bleness Hospital and the system Cancer program. I additionally manage the existing care site development Board process.

The Community Relations department at OhioHealth works to provide volunteer opportunities for OhioHealth associates and funding to non-profit organizations across Ohio. I had the priveldge in supporting this department by updating databases, preparing for large sponsorship meetings, preparing sponsored event invitations for executives, coordinating donation pick-ups during the large corporate move, along with many other tasks.

I assisted with facilitating multiple alumni events throughout the calendar year. These events included Homecoming, Alumni gatherings, and Alumni Weekend. Examples of responsibilities for this job are listed below:- Assisting with registration for events- Mingling with Alumni attending- Assisting with set up and tear down of event spaceI have also created materials for the promotions of these events including flyers, emails, and updating information for online registration sites.

In this position, I work with a team of peers and supervisors on projects geared toward helping students get more involved with the Columbus community. We help to organize opportunities of all sizes to give students different opportunities to serve their community! Programs I have helped to organize and facilitate include;-Smile! Series: I help to plan out and organize monthly donatable crafts for students to help put together. This is a service opportunity students can easily take less than five minutes to do between classes or right before they grab lunch in our Main Dining Room. - Crusader Day of Service: Partnering with over twenty different organizations around the city, students at Capital sign up for a morning of service at the location of their choice. - Kids Kamp: Kids from First English Lutheran church come to Capital for a morning of crafts, service, fun, and food! Capital University students volunteer with us for this event to help facilitate the activities and build a connection with the kids visiting our campus.- Annual Tree Lighting: Capital participates in a campus-wide clothing drive the month leading up to the Tree Lighting. Donation boxes are placed in main buildings all over the undergraduate, Trinity, and Law School campuses. Representatives from each of the three community partners the items go to join us for the program. In the past Capital has partnered with the following: Central Community House, First English Lutheran Church, Avondale Elementary School, The Open Shelter, etc.

As a member of the Student Leadership Team, I was tasked with several opportunities to help organize and facilitate aspects of the Transition Program at Capital. Below are some examples of responsibilities:- Help to organize and facilitate seven Summer Orientations by assisting families throughout the day, guiding Orientation Leaders and helping them problem solve situations, as well as facilitate an afternoon session geared towards introducing students to extracurricular activities Capital offers.- Assist in the interviewing and selection process for Orientation Leaders- Assisting with work in the office including fielding parent and family questions, providing individual orientations for students unable to attend a traditional orientation and organizing materials for all events.- Assist in organizing and facilitating Welcome Weekend festivities for Capital University's newest class of students. This group includes traditional first-year students, transfers students, and adult students.

I interned with the Southern Ohio/Northern Kentucky chapter of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society from May 10, 2017, until August 3, 2017. I worked closely on several retail campaigns (Walgreens, Wendy's, Brew & View) assisting in creating promotional tools and communicating with the retail partners.I volunteered with this chapter by assisting in updating the content calendar and giving advice about when promotions for events should be sent out to the public until roughly May of 2018.

I made and served ice cream desserts, improving my customer service and management skills.
