• Acts as primary contact for all local officials and stakeholders for information and guidance on projects in the Transportation Improvement Program. • Represents the Southwest Conference at meetings, special committees, and tasks forces at local, state, and federal levels.• Manages an annual allocation of $4 million+ in Surface Transportation Program (STP) funds while developing a transportation program that is consistent with regional planning initiatives. • Collaborates and coordinates with the Southwest Conference communities and transportation agencies at the local, state, and federal level to administer and ensure timely, efficient, and effective implementation of transportation projects.• Convenes workshops and educates local officials and engineers on federally funded transportation projects and regional planning activities. • Directs and plans meetings, facilitates discussions, and provides recommendations to the Southwest Conference transportation and public works committees. • Prepares agendas and minutes for various committees and task forces.• Represents the needs of SCM members to the Chicago Metropolitan Agency for Planning (CMAP), the Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) and other transportation and planning agencies.
