Following the initiation of the Program Management Improvement and Accountability Act (PMIAA), Project Management is increasingly needed and required by industries across America. Austin, likewise, is increasingly PM dependent and those with PM training are in much higher demand. With that in mind, I coached currently employed individuals within the financial and technology industry to increase their knowledge and practice of project management with a heavy emphasis on accurate estimating skills as well as relationship management. We focused on key project management deliverables - delivering accurate project plans, estimates, RAIDs, etc. We also focused on successful stakeholder management and how to leverage those relationships to create project successes.

As a National Project Manager, I managed multi-million dollar grants providing behavioral health services to at-risk populations (grant writing, creating the data plan, data management and analysis; managing staff and community partners as it relates to the projects' scope of work; assist with financial reporting; marketing and community outreach). I provided project oversight and supervision to the company's annual, national data collection project: hire and supervise data entry specialists, triage issues across departments, resolve issues with data collection at sites across the country, assist with evaluation of national data.This position afforded me the opportunity to grow as a manager by working to bring many different people (different regions, different departments, different levels of workers) toward a common goal. Also, my confidence grew tremendously in managing not just one or two complex projects but 5 or more highly complex projects simultaneously.

I managed $100,000 in projects delivering community training and resources on civil engagement. I assisted in developing curriculum for after-school care, delivering better academic outcomes to at-risk youth.
