Kelsey is currently a Program Coordinator at the Opportunity Council in Bellingham, WA. She is the OC’s Landlord Liaison, giving guidance and support to case managers and partner agencies in subsidized and affordable housing. She works with property owners and renters in the community to retain housing and prevent evictions through resource referrals, light touch mediation, and basic landlord-tenant law and fair housing information.She currently serves on OC’s Employee Lifecycle Committee, one of two DEI focused committees at the agency.Kelsey received her BA in Sociology with a concentration in Population Health Advocacy and Social Inequity from Western Washington University in 2015 and is currently working towards a Graduate Certificate in Community and Economic Development from Penn State University. She hopes to pursue a MA in a related field.Prior to her employment with Opportunity Council, Kelsey has held roles in the private sector, non-profit administration, and advocacy.
