Served as a mid-level nurse leader (RSL) and staff RN at VUMC’s dedicated psychiatric emergency department (Psychiatric Assessment Service) educating staff on Point of Care lab tests, orientation support for new nurses, education to nurse residents on LGBTQ cultural sensitivity, helped analyze and look to revise SOP's and processes, and more. Also worked in the Child & Adolescent unit of Vanderbilt Psychiatric Hospital. Floated to work in all units of Vanderbilt Psychiatric Hospital. Cross trained and worked over-time shifts at Vanderbilt University Hospital's Emergency Department taking care of patients experiencing medical emergencies in the A,B, and C pods of the ED.
