As a key part of the International Consortium for Immunodeficiencies (ICID), I was responsible for performing targeted genetic sequencing for hundreds of patients each year. The genetic mutations seen in this cohort are often rare or novel, and without treatment, can lead to life-threatening conditions for our patients. The Raif S. Geha Laboratory aims to uncover the mechanism of action of these complex disorders in order to identify proper therapies and to expand our understanding of immunity. My work included establishing a pipeline for the creation of CRISPR-Cas9 murine models, which allow us to extensively study the conditions seen in our patients.

The Genomes to People (G2P) Research Program is focused on the judicious integration of genomic research into personalized medicine and clinical practice. G2P works in partnership with many organizations dedicated to the future of genomics in medicine, including Boston Children's Hospital, Harvard Medical School, and The Broad Institute. While at G2P, I managed internal and external communications. My work included organizing and managing the group's website, media relations, manuscript editing, and writing press releases.

The National Human Genome Research Institute (NHGRI) is the driving force for advancing genomics research at the National Institutes of Health (NIH). My work at NHGRI included supporting research and content development of Director-led projects, coordinating genomic data sharing committees, and managing divisional meetings.
