The academic mission of the Lerner Research Institute is to provide excellent research training and professional development for all research trainees. The Research Education and Training Center (RETC) of the Lerner Research Institute (LRI) provides academic services for nearly 250 Postdoctoral Research Fellows, over 175 Graduate Students and more than 150 summer Research Students.

In addition to serving on the general Postdoc Association, I also serve on the communications subcommittee and the 2018 National Postdoc Association Meeting subcommittee.

I worked in Dr. Nima Sharifi's lab in the Cancer Biology Department of the Lerner Research Institute at the Cleveland Clinic. We were evaluating the role of residual adrenal androgens in castration resistant prostate cancer (CRPC), a leading cause of cancer deaths in American men.

I received my Ph.D. from Purdue University working in Christine Hrycyna's Lab in the Chemistry Department (Biochemistry Division) from January 2010 - August 2015. My research focused on developing inhibitors for membrane proteins associated with schizophrenia and pancreatic cancer.
