Kelsey M. Dachman, PhD, BCBA-D, LBA is a clinician and researcher with expertise in applying behavior-analytic methodologies to create socially significant change. As a licensed and board-certified behavior analyst, she specializes in preventing and treating challenging behavior, particularly in children and teens, with a unique focus on supporting justice-involved families.
Dr. Dachman earned her PhD in Behavioral Psychology and a master’s degree in Applied Behavioral Science from the University of Kansas, where she continues to collaborate on research and teach courses on youth development and juvenile justice. She also serves as an adjunct professor at Kansas City Kansas Community College.
As the Founder and Executive Director of the Center for Supportive Communities (CSC), Dr. Dachman leads an organization dedicated to leveraging behavioral science to create equal opportunities and meaningful change for children, families, and communities.She directs CSC’s flagship program, SupportEd, a community-based diversion initiative designed for truant students and their families. SupportEd serves as both an intervention and a training ground for undergraduate and graduate students seeking clinical, research, and professional development opportunities. The program combines behavioral principles, mentoring, and community collaboration to re-engage students in school, recover missed academic, social, and emotional learning opportunities, and prevent the escalation of behavior that often leads to legal involvement.Dr. Dachman also provides BACB supervision to behavior analysts in training.
