Human Factors department at Ascensia Diabetes Care, UI/UX concentration:• Collaborated with fellow UX/UI designers on the diabetes management phone application. • Improved wireframes to show the flow within the application for users in different scenarios. • Combined several wireframes and system maps to reduce redundancy and improve readability. • Modified and updated documents once they went through user testing and peer review. • Researched current diabetes management applications and presented potential future products. • Interacted and collaborated with other R&D departments.• Created high-resolution screens in the app prototyping software JustInMind to potentially create a full-functioning demo for user testing.

Industry sponsored project. Utilized new technology for use in search/rescue efforts, specifically search and rescue dogs. Designed a vest and corresponding application to help the search and rescue dog and handler maintain communication while providing more distance between them. The incorporation of technological devices within the dogs vest allows for more accuracy while searching and the ability to gather data about different disasters and their rescue efforts.

Collaborated with mechanical engineers to design and prototype a walker to help improve patients suffering from kyphosis, or severe bending of the spine. Final design promoted better posture via rotation of the shoulders while still providing a sense of safety and comfort for the user.

Promoted from sales associate in November 2014 due to strong work ethic and attention to detail. Managed shifts and maintained a high team moral in a stressful, fast-paced work environment.

Industry sponsored project. Designed a charm bracelet and corresponding phone application to help aide women with Type 1 diabetes before, during, and after their pregnancies through subtle, but persistent notifications. For my efforts, I received the 2016 Summer Internship in Tarrytown, New York.

Collaborated with fellow ID classmates to create a new layout for Kicker's 2015 CES Booth through utilization of their current stands with an emphasis on improving wayfinding (budget conscious solution). Individually, I developed and modeled a concept for their 2015 CES Booth by utilizing entirely new layouts, stands, and info-graphics (future possibilities). Was nominated to present the group result to the entire company, including the CEO, in Stillwater, Oklahoma. Received praise for my individual concept, as well as my presentation of both projects.
