I am an undergraduate student at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville majoring in Finance with a minor in Economics and a concentration in international business through the Haslam College of Business.My strengths include a strong work ethic, determination, and an analytical mindset. As a student, I am detail oriented and fully dedicate myself to achieve my best work, doing so in a manner that exceeds expectations. As an achiever, I like a challenge and have the drive and determination to accomplish the tasks at hand. This aligns with me being analytical which allows me to critically analyze all factors in a situation and carries over into the work ethic I exhibit in my job experience. Previously through my internship with Independent Bank, I gained knowledge Building relationships and including others is another strength of mine. I am committed to making people feel welcomed, understood, and to building meaningful relationships. In my current position as a bank teller, I engage in conversations with people of all different perspectives and backgrounds. I am able to communicate and tend to their financial needs while maintaining effective interpersonal skills. Working here since May, I have received positive feedback from customers and fellow employees for being very personable, caring, and hard-working. As someone who is pursuing a degree in finance and is sociable, I have a strong passion for helping others. My business interests include being able to analyze financial trends within the market, understanding the different forms of investments, and creating financial plans for individuals. Ultimately, I would like to help people by providing them with the financial literacy necessary to achieve their financial goals. My experience with banking and communication have prepared me to pursue a career in finance. Specifically, my internship as a bank teller has provided me with knowledge on performing various financial transactions such as deposits, withdrawals, and loans. Along with experience practicing compliance policies such as filing currency transaction reports (CTRs), placing holds, and performing audits. These foundational skills make me a valuable asset for my future endeavors. My goal after college is to pursue a career as a financial advisor or a corporate social responsibility manager with the hopes of assisting others and positively impacting communities.
