About Kelsey Devereaux
I can track my childhood by the many episodes of The Magic School Bus. Following a frizzy haired teacher, I explored the worlds of dinosaurs and the cardiovascular system, learning about science in a new way. But more importantly, I learned to adopt the phrase "Take chances, make mistakes, and get messy" into my mission. By pursuing this mission I have walked a 500 mile pilgrimage in Spain, became a resident assistant, lead a strength and conditioning camp for a local high school, and pursued a doctorate in physical therapy. As I graduate, my goal is to be a proactive physical therapist who seeks new knowledge and tries new things to allow for a holistic approach to patient care. I will continue to push further into specializing after achieving a baseline for diverse patient care. I would like to begin my career at a rehabilitation hospital that serves patients with orthopedic and neuromuscular deficits. I hope to continue to follow Ms. Frizzle's words in this field and come out covered in mud with a smile.
