Hi Y’all! I'm Kelsey, the co-founder of Lady Bird Talent. We are working to connect more women to tech leadership opportunities.Most days you can find me working from Austin, Texas. I’m mostly known for hyping women up, building community, and working toward gender equity & equality in startups. People refer to me as Kelsey H (because no one can say my maiden name, Hayenga) but since getting married, I’m going by Kelsey H. Stephens. I love serving the world by making impactful connections and introductions. The things I am most passionate about in life are:- Quality time with loved ones- Creating and building- Rooting for the underdog & working to close opportunity gapsI work with women in startups who are looking to find a career home where they can have more impact. I am lucky to connect them to roles at emerging startups, where their voices are heard. I am trained and certified in Diversity Equity and Inclusion through Northwestern and HR through the Society for Human Resource Management. My tech career has been spent organizing community events supporting people looking to skill up, find jobs, and running the employee resource group for women at a global tech organization. When I’m not busy supporting the women+ members of the Lady Bird Talent community, you can find me organizing some exuberant gathering like the Hill Country Solar Eclipse Fest or a themed dinner party. My bestie (work bestie turned IRL bestie) and I bought the cutest 1969 Airstream trailer that is used as a pop-up shop, bar, and demo lounge at events all across Texas. 2. I am married to the designer behind the Lady Bird Talent brand. Thanks for all you do, Matt! 3. I love Halloween. Hands down–the best holiday of the year. 4. In my younger years, I ran with the bulls in Pamplona, Spain. It was the best summer of my life, but I can still hear the sound of their hooves on cobblestone! 5. I’m on a journey to learn more about wine production and earned my WSET level 1 certification. Looking forward to a slower season where I can jump into level 2!Still reading?
