Licensing Management & Contract Compliance - Performed royalty inspections at several licensees in the Consumer Products, Brand/Trademark Licensing, Entertainment/Media and Technology industries. Royalty audits utilize a strong Microsoft Excel skill-set and quantitative accounting background to determine royalty underpayments by licensee and compliance with License Agreements.- Responsibilities included working with large data sets in Microsoft Excel to recalculate and reconcile revenue and sales units, performing an inventory roll-forward analysis, tracing journal entries to the various sub-ledgers and to the general ledger, and drafting reports outlining findings.BP Oil Spill- Served as an accounting analyst on a cross-line of service engagement team responsible for assisting with the execution of the multi-billion dollar class action settlement reached in response to the April 2010 oil spill of the Deepwater Horizon drilling rig. - Responsibilities focused on utilizing Microsoft Excel models to calculate business economic loss claims and included a detailed, multi-step process for calculating claimant damages. Tasks included P&L analysis, tax-to-book revenue and net income reconciliations, analysis of revenue and expense trends, and attorney correspondence.Dispute Analysis- Assisted as an accounting analyst on a multi-million dollar mediation case.- Responsibilities included tracing journal entries to the general ledger, analyzing financial transactions in Microsoft Excel, assessing the aging of A/R, and creating a Microsoft PowerPoint presentation to be used by counsel in mediation.
