The desk's fed data into market analytics products used by clients and was responsible for producing a regular stream of analysis, reports and presentations as part of a market analysis and research package offered to investment banking clients including Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan, Credit Suisse and Bank of America. I joined Dealogic with their financial compliance team. While there, I worked on a new business line to help clients comply with Dodd-Frank regulatory reforms. I quickly assumed responsibilities for training and project management within the group. Over a period of 4 months, I trained twenty new hires, coordinated the internship program and led my own projects with a team of five people.

At Tom Curren, I helped implement the firm's new targeted marketing campaign. The firm realized that consumers are more responsive to marketing when they are exposed to a variety of types of advertising. For instance, if a potential client passed a work site with our banner, and then later received a mailer from us, they reported a higher incidence of remembering our name when the time came to make a renovation. Using that observation, we combined advertising on current work sites with a series of mail campaigns that targeted residences in the neighborhood. This strategy resulted in a ~30% improvement of returns on advertising expenditures, which allowed us to scale back the size of our advertising budget.
