Responsibilities include inpatient and outpatient management of pre and post-operative patients within robust Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Practice. Typical pre-operative management including surgical clearances and planning as well as interdisciplinary team coordination. Typical post-operative management including drain care, tissue expansion, discharge planning, and wound care including use of various dressings, debridement strategies, and vacuum assisted closure devices. Surgical first assist predominately in implant and autologous (microvascular) breast reconstruction, body contouring following massive weight loss, aesthetic surgery, cutaneous malignancies, and lymphatic reconstruction including lymphatic microsurgical preventive healing approach (LYMPHA) and delayed lymphatic reconstruction with lymphaticovenular bypass, vascularized lymph node transplants, and debulking with liposuction. Assisted in developing Lymphedema Program and lead monthly Lymphedema Board Meetings. Emphasis in aesthetic plastic surgery. Perform neurotoxin and dermal filler injections.
