Associate Research Scientist
CurrentMaintain the Right Whale Photo-Identification Catalog and conduct boat-based field work in U.S. and Canadian waters (includes tasks detailed below under Seasonal Right Whale Research Assistant for NEAq); assist with photo analysis, data processing, ArcGIS map-making, necropsies, report writing, permit applications, newsletter articles, social media, science conference presentations, preparation for field seasons and the Right Whale Consortium, and education/outreach events. Also, as the Marine Mammal Conservation Program Coordinator, duties include: coordination among program team members as well as other programs in the research department and across the institution, budget tracking and discussions, meeting planning, and program goal reporting.
