After graduating from the University of Washington with a degree in Art History, Kelsey spent time traveling through Europe and living in various parts of California and Oregon before the lure of the Pacific Northwest brought her back to the Seattle area. Kelsey’s wanderlust then turned her to a career onboard expedition ships, sailing to the far corners of the world. Since beginning her career in expedition travel in 2013, Kelsey has traveled to all seven continents onboard a variety of expedition vessels in the capacity of Cruise Director and AEL – and on occasion as a Zodiac driver. She has traveled to the countries surrounding the Black, White, Adriatic, Baltic and Mediterranean Seas in addition to Australia, the South Pacific, Central and South America, parts of Southeast Asia, Europe, and Northern Africa. Kelsey is also passionate about the Arctic and the Antarctic, having run trips to these destinations each year since she began.Kelsey’s interest and success in expedition travel expanded shoreside with her position as Director of Expedition Staff and Field Operations. This role included ship and land product oversight while leading and organizing a field team of approximately 60 people.
