Helping to see patients pre/post op for cataract surgery, Nd:YAG surgery, and LPI surgeries. I also work up established patients and perform daily refractions and see emergency patients.

I was one of 90 ambassadors on 80 campuses across the United States and Canada with a simple mission: Embrace escapism and share the Margaritaville Lifestyle. I helped bring awareness of the Margaritaville lifestyle to the IAUPRSO campus and was responsible for signing students up for the mailing list. I participated in photo contests and helped bring awareness of the variety of their products to the student body.

My job as a Trustee is to be the link from each of the respective schools to the AOSA on a national level. Trustees are responsible for maintaining student membership and promoting membership after graduation. They speak at first-year orientations and inform students about the benefits and importance of getting involved in organized optometry, and especially the AOSA. Trustees also promote Optometry’s Meeting, the annual AOSA-AOA joint conferences that are held in various cities across America. They constantly fundraise so their AOSA chapter can sponsor travel grants for their students. I started the, now annual, IAUPRSO Alumni Travel Grant Program in 2015 to send our students to the AOA annual meeting. Together we raised over $1,000. Overall, Trustees serve as representatives from each school and act as messengers for current national optometric issues. Through the AOSA, students also have a voice in the American Optometric Association. We are responsible for attending 2 meetings each year to help organize and bring more important information to our students.

I was part of a team of students that would serve plated dinners for high class functions (ie. weddings, prom, company dinners, PA Shakespeare Festival, etc.). Was responsible for keeping patrons happy serving their appetizers, main courses, and desserts.
