As an RA, I am responsible for upholding rules and regulations in the residential hall I am assigned to at UNH, as well as providing socials for residents to attend, making informational bulletin boards, and sharing campus resources for multiple situations such as career services, mental health assistance, and even organizations for involvement. As an RA, I must uphold expectations for turning in assignments, attending weekly meetings twice a week, and being in charge of building surveillance at least once a week.

As a student in CREAM at UNH, 25 students are in charge of a string of 25 dairy cows. While attending class 2 times a week, each student must complete 3-4 shifts per week where the cows are fed, milked, and their stalls are cleaned and rebedded. The students run the class and grade each other, as the professor is only there to facilitate. The students take care of choosing bulls to breed the cows with by analyzing pedigrees, keep track of finances, as well as production.The students are required to complete a 10 minute presentation about any topic involving CREAM, and the course is a full year long.

As a Vet Tech, I take temperatures and weights at the beginning of routine appointments, draw up vaccines, restrain animals as the doctors request, trim nails, prep, assist, and recover surgeries, and run various lab tests such as fecal tests, urinalysis, CBC, 4DX, and many others. I also handle the money and credit card machine as work, as well as help keep track of inventory, and work with clients on the phone regarding scheduling appointments or any concerns they may bring to us

A student in a course at UNH where we raised a flock of 50+ broiler chickens from chicks to slaughter. As students, we were required to work at least 2 shifts per week in order to care, weigh, and manage the flock. We were responsible for analyzing the flock for any signs of abnormalities and disease, and vote on how to handle a sick chicken based on their quality of life.
