While I initially went in to teaching hoping to have an impact as a history teacher to utilize my BA in History from OBU due to a teacher shortage and need for English teachers I am now a certified English teacher and love it! I have been working in education 7 years one year as a paraprofessional while working on my Masters and 6 years in the classroom as a secondary English teacher in public education. I also have been Senior sponsor, Student Council Advisor, officer for our Local Education Association, and a member of the remediation team. I have taught AP English classes for 5 years now and have attended multiple APSIs and have been an AP reader. I love teaching English and finding new ways to engage students in ways that will help them in all areas of their life.
