During my internship at Hirdaramani Mercury Apparel, I was trained at almost all the production stages which brought me a comprehensive understanding of the production workflow including human resources management. During the period, I completed the “LEAN” project conducted by the HR department at Hirdaramani Mercury Apparel. It helps to aid a clear understand of production workflow and experience the challenging situation that comes with it.As a Laboratory Assistant Intern at SLITA, Ratmalana I upskilled myself with general testing standards and procedures associated with textile quality assurance. I work under a technical engineer assisting and later carrying out all the testing standards. So, I was able to work under pressure and during tight deadlines then provide problem-solving. I have also worked as a sample coordinator at “Texpro Industries, Hanwella” which brought me the opportunity to coordinate with senior merchandisers and implement according to their order requirements under tight schedules which led to improving my time management skills. And I hope to join the apparel industry to get more experience there. As well while working in the industry hope to develop my managerial skills and in the next couple of years possibly even take the lead on some groups or projects.
