Responsible for broad range of technology systems from live data feeds (including feeds into channel 10 for stock reports and news broadcasts) to voice recognition broking systems. Implementation of best practice systems management through the adoption of ITIL.Implemented Australia's first global server load balancing environment utilising Nortel Networks technology. Worked with Ernst and Young on System and Internet security including attack and penetration tests, threat and vulnerability studies as well as security infrastructure review.Received Australian Stock Exchange (ASX) certification for a straight through processing system developed in VB and MSSQL and implemented by IT&e.Significantly increased the reliability of CommSec’s website by completely re-architecting the system. This has been used as a case study for Microsoft and mentioned by John Connors during analyst briefing in Redmond, USA 2001. This project involved the development of high performance C components, VB modules, MS SQL backend as well as a holistic ground up approach to the adoption of middleware components such as TIBCO rendezvous.
