Provided strategic and operational leadership for day-to-day operations at McCormick Place, North America’s largest and most prestigious convention center, as well as the Wintrust Arena and Arie Crown Theater. Tenure concluded due to an RFP process that resulted in another firm being awarded the management agreement.

PENNSYLVANIA CONVENTION CENTER (Philadelphia, PA): 2018 - 2022Strengthened the short-term sales efforts, achieving a 10% increase in event income vs. budget. Improved net income by 11% vs. budget and 14% vs previous year, pre-COVID. Improved customer service ratings from 71% to 84% while increasing response rate to over 43%. Worked closely with the Authority to lead the operation through the COVID-19 pandemic and transition back to stability. The Pennsylvania Convention Center consists of more than 2 million square feet of space, including 679,000 square feet of exhibit space, 82 meeting rooms and the largest ballroom in the Northeast. Promoted to Regional Vice President for ASM Global in March 2022. NAVY PIER Festival Hall Complex (Chicago, IL): 2015 - 2018Strategically realigned the sales and services operation for Navy Pier's Festival Hall Complex based on aggressive, yet client friendly yield management strategies resulting in a 34% increase in gross revenues and 30% improvement in net income over first two years. The Complex features over 275,000 sq. ft. of flexible event space overlooking Lake Michigan. Serve as SMG’s corporate regional supervisor over various other facilities.

JACKSON CONVENTION COMPLEX (Jackson, MS): 2011 - 2015Realigned organizational efforts to ensure the delivery of outstanding customer experiences, yielding record high customer survey scores each year. Implemented a sales and service focused culture, based on yield management strategies resulting in the three best years in the facility’s history for event profitability and net event income. Decreased the operating subsidy by implementing operational efficiency standards, introducing revenue based expense management processes, and strategically renegotiating service contracts. The Jackson Convention Complex features 330,000 sq. ft. of flexible event space and is located in the heart of downtown Jackson...Mississippi's capital city and the heart of Southern hospitality.LYNNWOOD CONVENTION CENTER (Lynnwood, WA): 2008 – 2011Developed a strategic plan to achieve the long term goals of eliminating the facility’s operating subsidy and increasing its economic impact, which included an operational restructuring that yielded the highest revenue and economic impact, lowest subsidy and best customer service ratings in the facility’s history (FY2011 results). Utilizing the tools and processes developed during my tenure, the Center has continued to yield record annual results including realizing a net operating profit in FY2013 and each year since.The 55,000 sq. ft. Lynnwood Convention Center has 34,000 sq. ft. of flexible event space, including a 12,000 sq. ft. ballroom and 11 meeting rooms totaling over 21,000 sq. ft.

GENERAL MANAGER – RMB REGIONAL FAIRGROUNDS (Robstown, TX): 2006 – 2008Worked with Nueces County officials and construction project managers to complete construction of Phase 1 of the Fairgrounds project, including FF&E procurement, pre-opening operations, financial management, marketing and public relations. Efforts resulted in a successful grand opening in January 2007 as well as initial programming that yielded record attendance and revenues for the Nueces County Junior Livestock Show, Kiwanis Club Golden Gloves Boxing Tournament, the Peddler Show, and Fiesta Mexicana. Secured an arena football franchise, the Corpus Christi Hammerheads of the Intense Football League, to be the signature sports tenant.The RMB Regional Fairgrounds complex consisted of over 220,000 sq. ft. of event space, including a 4,500 seat baseball stadium, a 1,000 seat equestrian center, a 30,000 sq. ft. conference center and a 150,000 sq. ft. pavilion consisting of a 2,000 seat arena and two 100,000 sq. ft. of exhibit space.GENERAL MANAGER - OVERLAND PARK (KS) CONVENTION CENTER: 2005 – 2006Facilitated proactive yield management sales strategies and revenue based expense control processes resulting in net income of over $500,000 in FY05 and FY06, while maintaining superior customer service levels. Proactively engaged department heads in managing the day-to-day operations of all facility functions including sales, marketing, public relations, finance, human resources, event services, guest services, housekeeping, maintenance, engineering, technical services, food & beverage, parking, safety and security.The Overland Park Convention Center is a 237,000 sq. ft. facility, with a 30,000 sq. ft. ballroom, 60,000 sq. ft. of dedicated exhibit space and seven (7) meeting rooms.ASSISTANT GENERAL MANAGER - Greater Richmond (VA) Convention Center: 2003 – 2005
