CurrentIdentified by organization leaders for past performance in a prior role with Vitas, chosen for the GM position, a role with blended ownership in the areas of both business operations and business growth/development. Charged with the implementation of the company’s systems, policies, and standards, ensuring that the hospice aligns with all applicable regulatory requirements of agencies and assuming responsibility for adherence to the standards of inspections, surveys, and reviews including state licensure, federal certifications, and accreditations, and the development and growth of optimal revenue performance. Maintains a working knowledge of and manages programs to satisfy Medicare Conditions of Participation. Collaborates with Coordinating with VPO, Regional Medical Director, NPCA, RDMD, and other corporate resources when necessary for guidance and support. Possesses and maintains sharp negotiating skills when pursuing contractual agreements with community partners and vendors to ensure favorable program outcomes. Develops and maintains B2B and B2C relationships with key stakeholders across hospitals, nursing homes, physicians, and other healthcare organizations based on corporate business plans and revenue budgets. Oversight of financial functions including budgets, management of monthly profit and loss statements, accounts receivables, collections, and local accounts payable processes. Actualize a training action plan to ensure ongoing adherence to regulations, guidelines, and the highest level of job performance, piloting, piloting initiatives to support the development of human capital, propel and align with positive cultural change, and manage internal growth agenda through a collaborative leadership model.
