When the Karolinska Precision Medicine Center (PMCK) was established, I was assigned the role of Chairman of the Tactical Forum and took on the operational responsibility for implementing new work methods in healthcare. A significant focus has been on developing a governance model for precision medicine, new IT support structures, and establishing new forms of work methods. The most important task is to work together with department heads and Theme Chiefs/Functional Chiefs to develop and continuously implement new structures and work methods that pave the way for precision medicine. The operational leadership function works to translate the hospital's strategic perspective into tactical and operational planning.The task also includes facilitating and supporting the operations in the transformation phase, such as by organizing precision medicine forums and other precision medicine structures at the tactical level through a Tactical Forum. The operational leadership function also involves supporting and optimizing PMCK's work regarding assignments, production, research, competence supply, information technology, agreements, and the organization's finances.I also engage in business development with a primary current focus on IT issues, scheduling systems, and follow-up on surgical cancer (availability).
