Co-developed one of the first biotech traits (BXN Cotton) and have worked extensively with commercialization of biotech traits for 3 companies. Principle investigator in developing novel herbicide-controlled gene switch thru protein engineering and founded artificial antibody technology to dampen the agronomic impact of select traits. First to demonstrate expression of insect resistance genes in plant chloroplasts and first control gene expression in this organelle. Created widely used plant transformation tools for 3 companies and academic community. Work well in teams as well as building strong teams to realize company goals.
