Responsible for implementation of HACCP, TACCP & VACCP, customer, and regulatory obligations.Overseeing a team of 9 members of staff with responsibilities for championing compliance, adherence to process control requirements, food safety, quality, and integrity, supplier vetting, ethical standards, Local authority visits, and audits [internal audits, 2nd party (M&S Food safety, Food integrity, Waitrose POD audits, McDonald’s SQMS, SWA audits) and 3rd party audits (BRC, ISO 9001:2015, SMETA, Soil association, Flocert - fairtrade, RAC)].

Privately owned rice milling and packing business manufacturing own label products. Accountable to the operations manager. Responsible for overall Technical function for the dry rice processing site.Responsible for ensuring compliance of dry rice and its by-products (animal feed) with Industry standards, Food safety and Feeding stuffs regulations). Manage Technical department budget.

Part of the Dole Group, suppliers of fresh produce to major retailer outlets (Tesco, M&S, Budgens). Reporting to the Group Technical Manager.Responsibility for implementation of Quality standards across the site's operational functions, and the running of the Technical department. Championed transition from "Quality control" to "Quality Assurance" in factory operations.

Worked in the Food Policy branch, participated in developing legislation that ensures Food Safety and Authenticity. Organised the meeting for Codex standards on Fat and oils (CCFO) hosted by the UK in 2007. Collaborated with Stakeholders and delegates within the UK and internationally, as part of this project. Provided Policy advice on the Agency's input and particpation in the CCFO, and Codex Committee on Milk and Milk Products (CCMMP)Worked in the Food law Policy branch. Responsibility for Technical and Policy advice to the Agency’s input and participation in the Codex Committee on fats and oils (CCFO 2007), and the Codex Committee on Milk and Milk Products (CCMMP).
