Ever since I can remember, I have always had a passion for helping people. I enjoy motivating individuals towards completing personal goals and have a gift of identifying people’s unique strengths. In education, I have had the opportunity to connect with students to inspire them to unlock their fullest potential and achieve their aspirations of getting their dream careers.While completing my Master’s in Higher Education Administration, I became more aware of the challenges and financial barriers that underserved populations and nontraditional students face in obtaining a certificate or degree. It made me want to create a resource that could help prospective students and families understand all of their postsecondary options, achieve their career aspirations, and attain them as affordably as possible. This drive eventually evolved into a passion project - a podcast entitled, “Your Advisors Will See You Now.” When I am not at work, my cohost Khyandra Murrain and I guide parents and teenagers on planning for life after high school. We touch on the application process, alternatives to college, how to pick a career, and much more. We also share information for adult learners interested in furthering their education or returning to complete their degree.
