Keming Liang is a Director in the Asia Pacific Economics & Damages practice and based in BRG’s Los Angeles (downtown) and Beijing offices. He specializes in the valuation of businesses, tangible assets and intellectual property; assessment of damages; financial statement analysis; solvency analysis and transfer pricing. He has extensive experience in addressing economic and financial issues in commercial disputes arising from M&A, bankruptcy, shareholder appraisal rights, taxes, patent infringement, lost profits, breach of contract and breach of fiduciary duty. His work has spanned a broad range of industries, including energy, healthcare, manufacturing, retail, financial services, technology, consumer products, education, and entertainment & media.In addition to his work in contentious matters, Mr. Liang’s prior experience includes providing transaction advisory services and valuation services for fairness opinion and tax & financial reporting purposes. Mr. Liang is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charterholder, a California-licensed Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and a certified Financial Risk Manager (FRM). He holds a Master in Finance degree from Claremont McKenna College, and obtained his B.A. with double majors in Economics & Business and Mathematics from Lafayette College. Mr. Liang has also been a guest lecturer at the University of Hong Kong’s LLM in Arbitration & Dispute Resolution program.Prior to joining BRG, Mr. Liang was a Vice President at another leading economic consulting firm and worked as a research associate at the American Institute for Economic Research. A native Mandarin speaker, Mr. Liang has particular expertise in China-related matters.
