Tasked with intelligence analysis for the District Police Department for the 4th largest school district in Florida. Responsible for creating intelligence products to include proactive assessments and bulletins while monitoring ongoing criminal and school specific trends.
Tasked with crime analysis and research to determine trends and patterns to forecast future criminal activity. Aided in the preparation of strategic action plans to assist in the prevention and suppression of criminal activity. Managed public safety grants and actively identifies new sources of funding. Developed problem solving techniques, strategies and tactics utilized to respond to the varying needs of the community and to create necessary partnerships and key elements to improve the quality of life and service rendered for Citizens. Researched, developed, implemented and conducted meaningful programs and techniques relative to crime prevention, crime detection and deterrence and safety measures for all segments of the community. Assisted in the interpretation and application of City Code and in drafting City Ordinances and Departmental Policies and Procedures. Utilized CPTED (Crime Prevention through Environmental Design) principles while evaluating new site plans during the review process in relation to public safety impacts. Performed Community Relations outreach endeavors and coordinated interns for the Police Department. Established a positive and effective rapport with all media resources and developed media interest for the Longwood Police Department’s community relations programs and initiatives by providing the media and community with specific examples of relative community relations successes.
Interpreted and applied City codes, design standards and State statutes relating to future land use and development. Responded to public inquiries regarding rules and procedures for land use, the historic district, development and permitting. Reviewed planning proposals, residential/commercial permits, site plans and performed site inspections. Researched, compiled and analyzed data for staff reports, ordinances, Comprehensive Plan amendments, annexations and represented the department at public meetings. Acquired and managed City grants, performed various economic development functions, updated the City website and trained personnel.
Ran daily operations including permitting, human resources, accounting and production. Trained new employees, assisted with collections and routinely dealt with the public and government agencies to ensure quality workmanship. Created and distributed marketing materials as well as planned special events. Also maintained insurance certificates and licenses, scheduled inspections and sustained business checking account.
Administered crisis intervention to students, faculty and staff of UCF and educated university population through classroom presentations and outreach endeavors. Designated as a first responder to criminal activities, assisted clients with all facets of the criminal justice system from initial paperwork to court proceedings. Trained volunteers and interns, referred clients to community programs and performed daily case management for approximately 45 clients at a time.
Provided customer service, ran general home office practices, scheduled appointments and prepared files for engineering and design.
Input cases, created files and prepared trial documents. Aided in Teen Court proceedings, performed intake and exit interviews, scheduled clients for Court and sanctioned classes. Maintained trial and volunteer databases, managed up to 90 juveniles on probation and supervised community service projects. Organized training activities for volunteers as well as recruited volunteers for the program.
Facilitated the class management and research of professors. Represented the department at school events to foster relationships in the community.
